Snow likely in Limestone, but how much remains a mystery

Limestone, Lauderdale, Morgan and Madison counties will likely see snow beginning late tonight and lasting through Friday, but how much is still anybody’s guess.
The National Weather Service in Huntsville issued a hazardous weather outlook for Limestone, which said up to a half-inch of snow is possible here and elsewhere across the Tennessee Valley. The outlook says higher amounts may be possible, but “it remains difficult to pinpoint which areas may see more snowfall.”
Counties in central and east-central Alabama are under a winter storm watch as up to 3 inches of snow may be possible in those areas.
Despite the questions, there is a 40 percent chance of snow in Limestone County Friday. Friday’s high will top out at 30 degrees with lows around 18. Saturday will be sunny and clear with a low of 32 and a low of 15.
The News Courier will have more information about the winter weather threat throughout the day today and Friday.
