MOBILE, Ala. (AP) — A former financial specialist at an Alabama children’s medical practice is accused of using a company credit card to make thousands of dollars in charges at an adult entertainment club.

Federal prosecutors say Jonathan Jernigan, who worked for Children’s Medical Group in Mobile, caused the company to lose more than $160,000.

In an indictment handed down Wednesday, a grand jury alleged that Jernigan used his employer’s PNC Bank Visa business card to purchase more than $20,000 in services from Diamond’s men’s club in Mobile.

Authorities say he also used the card to make more than $600 in purchases at a Walmart store.

Court records do not list an attorney for Jernigan.
