County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests Tuesday. Some arrests may be previously reported, probation or bond revocations or part of a grand jury indictment:

• Matthew Stanley Gatlin, 29, of 1929 Temperance Oak Road, Athens, possession of a controlled substance, third-degree criminal trespass and two counts of third-degree domestic violence (assault)

• Glenn Andrew Helms, 42, of 106 Harvest Glenn Lane, Harvest, negotiating a worthless negotiable instrument

• Johnny Darryl Strong, 25, of 1303 Woodside Drive, Athens, first-degree robbery

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following thefts Tuesday:

• ATHENS — Collector figurines, white cooler and air-conditioning unit, total value $5,050, stolen Dec. 22 in 15100 block 7 Mile Post Road

• ATHENS — Five Jeep wheels, three Ford wheels, two radiators and a battery, total value $1,600, stolen between Dec. 6 and 17 in 15900 block York Lane

• ATHENS — Medications, value $10, stolen between Dec. 21 and 22 in 12700 block Brownsferry Road

• ATHENS — Black & Decker cordless drill, value $100, stolen between Dec. 23 and 24 in 16800 block U.S. 72

• ELKMONT — Medications, value $28, stolen Dec. 24 in 25600 block Smithfield Road

• ELKMONT — Medications, value $2, and $60 cash stolen Dec. 25 in 21300 block Tillman Mill Road

• ATHENS — 2004 Acura RSX, no value given, stolen Dec. 25 in 15500 block Mayberry Drive

• TANNER — Trial camera, value $85, stolen between Dec. 25 and 26 in 10900 block Stewart Road

• ATHENS — Dog crate, 75 diaper boxes and 30 miniature John Deere tractors, total value $3,070, stolen between Dec. 21 and 26 on U.S. 72 West

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported the following new arrests Tuesday:

• Matthew Christopher Duker, 36, of 1001 Mason Tucker, Smyrna, Tennessee, possession of drug paraphernalia and second-degree possession of marijuana

• Randy Joe Hill, 49, of 100 Thomas St., Apt. 314, Athens, third-degree theft

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts and incidents Tuesday:

• Savage weapon case and 7 mm rifle, total value $390, taken during breaking and entering of a vehicle Dec. 25 in 17700 block Antlers Pass

• Pistol magazine, knife and ten .45-caliber rounds, total value $40, found Dec. 26 in 100 block Virginia Drive

• $20 bill and Ray-Ban New Wayfarer sunglasses, total value $180, taken during breaking and entering of a vehicle Dec. 26 at Murphy USA in 800 block U.S. 31 South

• Unspecified amount of money lost and stolen Dec. 27 in 1100 block South Jefferson Street

• Cash, debit card, Nikon digital camera, wallet, PlayStation 3 gaming system, door, three Air Force One shoes, black and white shoes, all-white shoes, custom purple airbrush paint shoes, Nike and Jordan shoes, total value $1,986, stolen Dec. 22 in 1200 block North Houston Street

• Xbox 1 gaming system and Vizio 50-inch TV, total value $1,000, stolen Dec. 21 in 800 block Henry Drive

• Store and house keys, ID card, Social Security card, brown Coach purse and wallet, Louis Vuitton purse and four Case pocket knives, total value $2,001, stolen Dec. 23 in 1700 block South Jefferson Street

• Nintendo Wii system, box of insulin syringes, blue go-cart and Vizio, Jensen and Insignia TV sets, total value $530, stolen Dec. 24 in 900 block Mason Street

• Unspecified amount of money and cash box stolen and damage to cash machine, total value $200, Dec. 25 in 24900 block U.S. 72 East
