Parents looking to do some Christmas shopping without their little ones around will be able to do so Monday, thanks to the Athens High School basketball program.

Athens’ basketball teams will host a basketball camp from 9 a.m until noon, Monday, Dec. 19 at the AHS gymnasium. The camp, which is called “Shop Till You Drop Christmas Camps”, cost $30

The camp flier states, “Parents … let us teach your children some basketball skills, drills and fundamentals while you take some time for last minute shopping.”

At the same time Monday, the Athens cheerleaders will host a Christmas PJ Party in the Athens High School cafeteria. The event is open to children ages 4-12 and also cost $30.

Children attending are invited to wear Christmas pajamas while they make Christmas crafts, watch a Christmas movie, eat Christmas cookies and learn a few AHS basketball chants.
