A Limestone County burglary victim paid two teenage perpetrators $50 for a confession, an official said Wednesday.
Limestone County Sheriff’s Office Spokesman Stephen Young said a homeowner reported a burglary Sunday in the 18000 block of East Limestone Road. Items taken included a Verizon tablet, vapor cigarette and some change.
Young said the homeowner suspected two juveniles, ages 17 and 15, in the burglary and offered them $50 for information about the crime. The teens then confessed to breaking into the home through a back door and taking the items.
Young said the teens planned to sell the items to buy marijuana.
