County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests Saturday, Sunday and Monday. Some arrests may be previously reported, probation or bond revocations or part of a grand jury indictment:

• Courtney Terrell Johnson, 39, of 108 Ash St., Athens, two counts of fourth-degree theft

• Timothy James Towe, 30, of 23626 Upper Fort Hampton Road, Elkmont, harassing communications

• Thaddeus Tyrone Weeden, 24, of 134 Indiana Ave., Florence, causing of delinquency, dependency or need of supervision of children

• Derrick Wade McMurtrey, 36, of 2162 County Road 33, Killen, third-degree receiving stolen property

• Anna Lee Yancey, 41, of 2152 County Road 33, Killen, holding for extradition

• Tyanna Avante Arroyo, 31, of 1255 Audubon Lane, Athens, DUI (alcohol), speeding and third-degree assault

• Elijah Stephon Beaulieu, 24, of 402 W. Michigan Ave., Muscle Shoals, DUI (alcohol) and possession of tax-paid alcoholic beverages for private use

• Homero Corona, 33, of 23764 Pepper Farm Lane, Elkmont, possession of a controlled substance

• David Edward Johnson, 30, of 306 Island Allen Ave., Andalusia, holding for extradition

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following thefts Monday:

• HARVEST — Glock 17 9 mm pistol, value $640, taken during breaking and entering of a vehicle Dec. 8 at Dollar General on Capshaw Road

• ATHENS — Vera Bradley purse, value $50, and $120 cash, taken during breaking and entering of a vehicle between Dec. 9 and 10 in 16300 block Log Cabin Road

• ATHENS — LG tablet, electronic vape and currency, total value $360, stolen Dec. 11 in 18000 block East Limestone Road

The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Monday:

• Billy Shane Bearden, 47, of 113 Seventh Ave., Gadsden, arrest for other agency

• Karon Moody Cogswell, 60, of 2248 Towne Park Drive SW, Huntsville, DUI (alcohol)

• Shea Gregory Herron, 25, of 208 Glen Meadow Lane, Harvest, arrest for other agency

• Olivia Ann Justine Pickens, 25, of 42 Rogersville Heights Drive, Rogersville, DUI (any substance)

• Jason Tad Preston, 37, of 5268 Winchester Road, New Market, second-degree possession of marijuana

• Patrick Wayne Ross Richter, 24, of 20059 Harris Road, Athens, probation revoked on previous conviction for third-degree assault

• Chauncey Lee Staggs, 35, of 20583 Colonial Drive, Athens, DUI (combined substances)

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts and incidents Monday:

• $83 stolen in theft by deception Dec. 3 at Wal-Mart

• Kobalt tool set, .22-caliber revolver and 32-inch LED high-definition television, total value $548, stolen between Dec. 5 and 8 in 19000 block Clem Acres

• Door knob, value $40, damaged Dec. 11 in 300 block Wellington Road

• Coach purse, juicy couture wallet, Alabama driver’s license and Social Security card, cash, Galaxy S4 cellphone and North Face jacket, total value $1,235, taken during breaking and entering of a vehicle Dec. 11 in 1200 block Audubon Lane

• Various makeup and accessories, total value $140, stolen Dec. 5 at Wal-Mart
