CULLMAN, Ala. (AP) — Sheriff’s deputies say a 26-year-old Cullman County man is accused of sending pornographic pictures over the internet.

Cullman County Sheriff Matt Gentry tells al.com Ray Schultz is charged with displaying obscene material to a minor. Gentry says Schultz was arrested Tuesday, and remains held without bond in the county jail.

The sheriff says Schultz was taken into custody following a two-month investigation. Authorities said detectives learned the suspect was sending obscene material to someone over multiple social media platforms.

Gentry says Schultz’s arrest took place during a search warrant at his home. Gentry said sheriff’s investigators seized several of Schultz’s electronic devices, and additional charges may follow.

Online jail records do not list an attorney for Schultz.
