Man accused of using stolen credit card to buy sporting goods, alcoholic beverages, other items

An Athens man accused of using a stolen credit card to by goods from Wal-Mart, Hibbett’s Sporting Goods and Proc’s Beverages has been arrested and charged, an official said.
Joseph Lester Campbell, 34, of 700 Fifth Ave., Apt. E-14, is charged with five counts of possession or fraudulent use of a credit or debit card, Police Chief Floyd Johnson said.
Campbell was arrested Saturday on five warrants in connection with the shopping spree he allegedly took Nov. 29, records show.
Investigator Kelly Fussell developed Campbell as the suspect in the case and obtained the arrest warrants Dec. 1, the chief said.
Campbell was booked at the Police Department and transferred to the Limestone County Jail.
