LCSO investigating firearms theft

Investigators with the Limestone County Sheriff’s Office are looking for possible suspects after nine firearms were reported stolen from an eastern Limestone County home Wednesday.
LCSO spokesman Deputy Stephen Young said investigators are working to develop leads while exploring the break-in of a home in the 11000 block of Morris Drive, located in an area of Limestone County annexed by the city of Madison.
Aside from the guns, a box of jewelry and a 48-inch Vizio flat-screen television were also reported stolen. The total value of items stolen was not released, but the television is valued at $600, according to a sheriff’s office report.
The following guns were reported missing:
• Remington 870 12-gauge shotgun
• Mauser 8 mm rifle
• CZ45 .22-caliber rifle
• Harrington & Richardson 12-gauge shotgun
• Harrington & Richardson 20-gauge shotgun
• Savage Arms .22-caliber rifle
• Mossberg .22-caliber rifle
• Winchester .22-caliber rifle
• Makarov 9 mm pistol
