Deputy Stephen Young, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office who accompanied the two narcotics investigator and two deputies serving a search warrant at Beddingfield’s home, said, “She had a big bag of weed and a bunch of pills in the dishwasher.”

Young noted the dishwasher was a new one for him.

“I’ve seen it hidden in fridges, freezers, microwaves, but this is the first time I’ve seen it hidden in a dishwasher.”

Officers found slightly less than a half pound of marijuana in a ziplock bag along with a set of digital scales, he said.

Inside Beddingfield’s purse, officers found a makeup bag containing bottles of the following types and amounts of pills:

• Five clonazepam (sedative);

• One alprazolam (sedative);

• Four 20-milligram amphetamine;

• Three 50-milligram amphetamine;

• 14 10-milligram hydrocodone; and

• 13 4-milligram hydromorphone.

“All of the bottles had the prescription labels removed,” Young said.

Also from the purse, officers seized $674 in cash and other bottles containing various medications that were not controlled substances, he said.
