Dear Editor:

If Limestone County educators want to enrich children’s lives, they should do something other than teach 11- and 12-year-olds about “the thrill of the kill.” (“Limestone 4-H to offer after-school hunting program,” 8-3-16).

Research in psychology and criminology shows that people who commit acts of cruelty to animals usually don’t stop there — many of them move on to their fellow humans.
