County arrests
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests Thursday. Some arrests may be previously reported, probation or bond revocations or part of a grand jury indictment:
• James Richard Bartlett, 25, of 15318 Mill Valley Drive, Athens, possession of a controlled substance
• Jamey Lee Carter, 28, of 19146 Airfield St., Athens, violated probation on previous conviction for second-degree manufacturing a controlled substance
• Paul Wayne Haggenmaker, 54, of 25782 George Lane, Elkmont, failing to pay child support
• Wesley Bennett Hughes, 25, of 16598 Jay St., Athens, second-degree possession of marijuana
• Lisa Darlene Miller, 51, of 29982 Jones Ave., Ardmore, possession of a controlled substance, second-degree possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia
• Hanna Rae Ray, 30, of 21397 Colwell Road, Elkmont, second-degree theft
• Juan Carlos-Moar Rivas, 32, of 423 Eighth Ave. SW, Decatur, DUI
• Brian Dewayne Smithson, 54, of 28591 Smith Hollow Road, Lester, bond revoked on previous charge of harassment
• Jenny Denise Whatley, 33, of 1012 Pattillo St., Hartselle, grand jury indictment for second-degree manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia
County thefts
The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following thefts Thursday:
• ATHENS — Two Firestone tires, value $300, stolen between July 21 and 27 in 15000 block Mooresville Road
• TONEY — Medication, no value given, stolen July 25 in 28300 block Hinton Lane
• ATHENS — Medication, no value given, stolen between July 20 and 27 in 21000 block Johnson Road
• MADISON — Generac generator, value $429, stolen between July 24 and 27 in 28200 block Schrimsher Road
City arrests
The Athens Police Department reported the following arrests Thursday:
• Terry Neal Griffin, 54, of 110 Thomas St., Apt. 112, Athens, second-degree criminal mischief
• James A. Harvey, 49, of 2012 Miller St., Decatur, probation revoked on previous conviction for third-degree theft
City thefts
The Athens Police Department reported the following theft and incident Thursday:
• Criminal mischief — dent to Honda CRV EX-L, value $1,000, July 25 in 1000 block U.S. 72 West
• Four 26-inch chrome wheels, value $7,000, taken during breaking and entering of a vehicle between July 27 and 28 in 2100 block Aretha Street
