Tanner man arrested for alleged sexual abuse

A 73-year old Tanner man was arrested today after an investigation determined he had sexual contact with a young relative, said Limestone County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Dep. Stephen Young.

Jimmy Messer, of 20137 Rosie Road, is charged with two counts of sexual abuse of a child under 12. He has been released from the Limestone County Jail on $60,000 bond, Young said.
