The memorial service for Dwight C. Griffin, 69, of Hartselle, will be 6 p.m. Wednesday, June 1, at Peck Funeral Home with Brent Worley officiating.

Visitation will be at 5:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Mr. Griffin, who died Thursday, May 26, 2016, at his home, was born Aug. 31, 1946, in Athens to Doyce and Geneva Hastings Griffin. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Hartselle and was preceded in death by his parents and by his first wife and mother of his children, Pamela Blalock Griffin.

Dwight was in banking in Hartselle for 25 years until his retirement in 2005. He started out his career with Citizens Bank/Southtrust Bank, served as president of Community Bank and ended his career working for three years as a consultant with Peoples Bank.

Dwight really loved the Hartselle community and was involved in the Civitan Club for years and the the Rotary Club until his health would not allow him to attend.

Survivors include his wife and high school sweetheart, Susan Miles Griffin; sons, Corey and Clay Griffin; grandchildren, Ben Griffin, Cole Griffin and Maysen Reeves; step-son, Marcus McCain; and step-daughter Beth Toledo.

In lieu of flowers, make memorial contributions to the Hartselle Quarterback Club, First Baptist Church of Hartselle or Southern Care Hospice.
