LOXLEY, Ala. (AP) — The Alabama Department of Corrections is searching for an inmate who they say escaped from a work release facility in Baldwin County.
Media outlets report that the ADOC says 33-year-old Christopher Leard McCorvey escaped from the Loxley Work Release Center around 5:50 p.m. Saturday.
McCorvey is described as a black male, who is 6 foot 4 inches tall and weighs 210 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes.
Officials say McCorvey was sentenced in January to serve one year and 10 months in prison on a theft charge.
Anyone with information about McCorvey’s whereabouts is asked to contact authorities.
