Della Faye Allen, 82, of Athens died Friday, March 25, 2016, at home.

Mrs. Allen was born Aug. 23, 1933, in Limestone County to Jessie and Ola Mae Mitchell Carter. She was a Member of the Baptist church.

She was preceded in death by her sons, Wayne and Gregory Taylor; brothers, L.F. and Charles Carter; sisters, Margaret Pesek and Edna White.

Services began at 2 p.m. Monday, March 28, at the Spry Funeral Home chapel with James Lemay officiating. Visitation was from noon until service time at the funeral home.

Burial is in Roselawn Cemetery.

Survivors include her husband, Doug Allen of Athens; daughter, Betty File of Wetumpka; brother, J.T. Carter of Athens; granddaughters, Lindsay and Morgan File; and several nieces and nephews
