The funeral for James Camp Mayfield, 101, of Athens, and formerly of Opelika, is 1 p.m. Saturday, March 19 in the Frederick-Dean Funeral Home chapel in Opelika with Gerome Hilliard officiating. Visitation is noon until 1 p.m. in the funeral home parlor.

Burial at Garden Hills Cemetery will follow the service.

Mr. Mayfield died Thursday, March 17, 2016.
