James Harold Martin, 68, passed away Thursday, March 17, 2016, at home.

He was born in Detroit to Harold W. Martin and Nell McGregor Martin.

Mr. Martin attended school at the University of California at Hayward with a degree in archaeology. He retired from The U.S. Geological Society after 20 years of service as a cartographer. He retired to Sun City West Arizona. He last resided at Brookdale Cedar Springs in Decatur where he had many friends. He was a very patriotic and caring man.

He is survived by numerous cousins and other loving relatives.

Cousins will be pallbearers.

Burial will be in Grand Bay Cemetery in Grand Bay.

Funeral arrangements will be announced at a later date by Serenity Funeral Home in Theodore.

McConnell Funeral Home assisted the family.
