Dwayne Gilliam

Dwayne Deeverle Gilliam, 80 of Athens died Thursday, Feb. 4, 2016, at home.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, Feb. 8, at the Spry Funeral Home chapel with Mike Kelley officiating. Burial will be at Elk River Mills Memorial Gardens.

Visitation is 5-8 p.m. Sunday at Spry Funeral Home.

Mr. Gilliam was born Feb. 21, 1935, in Limestone County. He was a member of the Baptist Church. He retired from Chrysler Corporation and was also a farmer. Survivors include sons, Barry Gilliam and Dale Gilliam, both of Athens; brother, Danny Gilliam of Athens; grandchildren, Lacey Gilliam, Austin Gilliam and Lucas Gilliam.
