Lloyd “Jack” Kerr

Lloyd Dean Kerr, 78, better known as Jack, of Athens, died Saturday, Jan. 30, 2016, at home. Mr. Kerr was born May 6, 1937, in Limestone County, to Charles Reese Kerr and Naomi Hagood Kerr.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 4, at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home with Don Osborne and Daniel Tucker officiating. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery. Visitation is 5-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Mr. Kerr was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Naomi Kerr; three brothers, Rodney Kerr, James Kerr and Michael Ray Kerr.

Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth Kerr; two daughters, Judy Nelson and husband Ricky, and Mary Craig and husband Miles; three sons, Lloyd Kerr and wife Samantha, Almon Kerr and John Kerr; grandchildren, Brandy Nelson Lovell and husband Nick, Bruce Nelson and wife Melissa, Lacy Kerr, Shelby Kerr, Brett Kerr, Blake Kerr, Austin Kerr, Harlee Kerr, Jenna Kerr, Miles Craig II, Matthew Craig, Mahaley Craig and McKenna Craig; three great-grandchildren; five brothers, Charles Kerr and wife Rosie, Harry Kerr and wife Shelia, Larry Kerr and wife Jeanie, Jerry Kerr and wife Mary Ann and Tom Kerr and wife Marjorie; three sisters, Betty Kiep and husband Pete, Nancy Cooper and husband Boochie and Verna Cowley and husband Bill; several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Bruce Nelson, Blake Kerr, Austin Kerr, Little Miles Craig, Nick Lovell and Brett Kerr. Honorary pallbearer will be Matthew Craig.
