Don’t drink and drive
Dear Editor:
On Aug. 22, my 22-year-old granddaughter (my son’s daughter), mother of a 13-month-old son, wife of her husband, got T-boned by a drunk driver and killed in Dayton, Ohio.
The driver, who’s blood alcohol level was three times the legal limit, was not killed.
So if you drive drunk, you can affect a lot of family members, a mother, three brothers and a sister, aunts and uncles and a lot of friends.
If you drink, think of the many people you will affect if you hit and kill someone, besides living in jail for a long time.
Sincerely,
Oscar Shragal Jr.

Thanks for the help
Dear Editor:
I would like to thank everyone who came out on Thanksgiving Day to help with the fifth annual Thanksgiving meal.
There were so many that I cannot name them all. We could not do this without the help of the community.
It gives me such a warm feeling knowing that because of the volunteers, people had a chance to eat a home-cooked Thanksgiving meal.
Sincerely,
