The arrests of two Athens residents on drug charges Sunday led to additional charges in connection with the Dec. 11 burglary of a home on Alabama 99, an official said.
Limestone County sheriff’s narcotics investigators arrested Terry Dale Amerson, 21, of 20095 Townsend Ford Road, and Joslynn Sierra Winston, 19, of 19923 Dupree Drive, said Deputy Stephen Young, public information officer for the Sheriff’s Office. Both are charged with unlawful possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia, records show. Two guns and some jewelry that had been stolen from a residence in the 26000 block of Alabama 99 were recovered at the scene on Dupree Drive, Young said. After interviewing Amerson and Winston, investigators also charged the two with third-degree burglary, Young said.
