Federal grand jury indicts Alabama man for fatal accident

OXFORD, Miss. (AP) — A federal grand jury has indicted a Huntsville, Alabama man for a fatal traffic accident on the Natchez Trace Parkway in July.

WTVA-TV reports (http://bit.ly/1EURHb4 ) the grand jury returned the indictment Tuesday for involuntary manslaughter against Cedric Coonrod.

Parkway officials say Coonrod was driving an SUV on July 3 when it crossed the center line and hit another SUV. Authorities say 62-year-old Steven A. Foster, of Braxton, Mississippi died in the accident and his wife, Mary Katherine Foster, was injured.

No trial date has been set.
