Two women were arrested Tuesday on prostitution-related charges following a raid conducted at the VIP Spa on Elkton Road near Elkmont, Limestone County Mike Blakely said.

The arrests were made at the same location where three women were charged with promoting prostitution following a 2014 raid at what was then called the Pine Tree Spa at 25295 Elkton Road.

“The name has changed, the ladies have changed, and I hope the sheets have been changed,” Blakely told The News Courier Tuesday afternoon.

After receiving numerous complaints about the VIP, the Sheriff’s Office devised a plan.

“We sent someone in there Saturday to see if it was legitimate,” Blakely said. “He was offered sexual favors for money. We sent an undercover officer in today and, again, he was offered sexual favors for money. He told them he didn’t have enough money and had to go to an ATM to get money.”

Officials were then notified, obtained a search warrant and raided the spa.

Arrested on charges of second-degree promoting prostitution and soliciting prostitution were Chong S. Yu, 54, of 29295 Elkton Road, Elkmont, and Yong A. Elliott, 58, of Colorado Springs, Colorado. The sheriff said the two women, who are Asian and spoke limited English, said they did not know who rented the building.

“This has been open for a couple of weeks,” Blakely said. “Hopefully, we will get it shut back down.”

Both Yu and Elliott have prior prostitution-related charges in other states. Yu has multiple prior charges relating to prostitution from Kentucky and Georgia between 2006 and 2012, Young said. Elliott was charged with prostitution in Illinois in 2013, Young said.

The three women charged with promoting prostitution in 2014, when the business was called the Pine Tree Spa, were recently indicted on the charges by a Limestone County grand jury. They include Jung E. Blanton, 58, of Lexington, Kentucky and Gyeong Yim Gweon, 65, and Kyong Suk Kim, 52, both of Duluth, Georgia.
