Theophilus “Theo” Boatright

Theophilus “Theo” Boatright, 79, of Elkmont, died Thursday, Aug. 20., 2015, at Huntsville Hospital.

Born Thursday, April 23, 1936, he was the son of the late John W. Boatright and Tommy Lovell Boatright. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Olivia Zinkovich.

He was a U.S. Army veteran, loved fishing and was a member of Wooley Springs Baptist Church.

Survivors include wife Barbara Taylor Boatright of Elkmont; daughters, Joy Lynn Wetzel (Rick) of Lombard, Illinois, and Rhonda Glaser (Jeff) of Bradenton, Florida; granddaughters, Faith Ann Wetzel of Lombard, Illinois, and Shannon Rose Maxwell of Algonquin, Illinois; and brother, Wayne Boatright (Billie) of Valparaiso, Indiana.

Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 24, at Ardmore Chapel Funeral Home with Tony Boyles officiating. Burial will be in Gatlin Cemetery in Ardmore.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 23, at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Hidden Place or Jeremiah Project in care of Wooley Springs Baptist Church.
