County arrests

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following arrests Thursday:

• Joshua David Brooks, 27, of 18484 Bill Black Road, Athens, five counts third-degree burglary and one count third-degree criminal mischief (grand jury indictment)

• Justin Lavon Chambers, 27, of 15113 Ham Road, Athens, third-degree domestic violence (harassment)

• Randall James Drinkard, 18, of 24973 Pepper Road, Athens, driving under the influence and second-degree possession of marijuana

• Brandon Deshawn Garner, 32, of 258 Shortleaf Lane, Harvest, failure to pay child support

• Joshua Michael Lunsford, 26, of 23880 Miller Road, Athens, probation violation on two previous convictions for second-degree possession of a forged instrument

• Damion Malik Najera, 19, of 13653 Browns Ferry Road, Athens, bond revoked on previous charge of first-degree theft

• Tony Ray Pope, 55, of 1501 Fifth Ave., Athens, second-degree manufacturing a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance (grand jury indictment)

• James Nicholas Scott, 25, of 2998 First Ave., Ardmore, probation violation on previous conviction for breaking and entering a vehicle

• Shannon Laray Scruggs, 30, of 477 Toney School Road, Toney, third-degree domestic violence (harassment)   

County thefts

The Limestone County Sheriff’s Office reported the following thefts Thursday:

• ELKMONT — Hewlett-Packard brand Pavilion G-6 laptop computer valued at $1,500 stolen Aug. 4 from Nelson Road

• ATHENS — Five car batteries and two jump boxes, total $$880, stolen Aug. 10 from 24300 U.S. 72  

• ATHENS — Microsoft Xbox 360 game console, three LG surround-sound speakers and LG 16-inch subwoofer, total $1,300, stolen during burglary in 11500 block Shaw Road between Aug. 10 -12

City arrests

The Athens Police Department reported no new arrests Thursday.

City thefts

The Athens Police Department reported the following thefts Thursday:

• $40 in cash stolen Aug. 12 or 13 from 24400 block U.S. 72

• Troy-Bilt brand self-propelled push lawn mower valued at $318 stolen Aug. 4 or 5 from 700 block Meadowview Street
