Sharon Johnson Rush of Athens announces the engagement of her daughter, Traci Elizabeth Rush, to David Glenn Boutwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas David Boutwell of Haleyville.

The bride-elect is also the daughter of the late Michael J. Rush. She is the granddaughter of Horace P. Johnson of Athens and the late Bobbie P. Johnson and the late Mr. and Mrs. D.J. Rush.

She is a 2006 graduate of Athens High School and a 2010 graduate of the University of Alabama where she received a bachelor’s degree in public relations. She recently received a master’s degree in business administration from the University of North Alabama. She is employed by Finery in Huntsville as an event manager.

The prospective groom is the grandson of JR Page of Haleyville and the late Dorthy Page and Tommy Boutwell.

He is currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree in engineering at the University of Alabama Huntsville. He is employed by Federal Mogul in Athens as a set-up.

A October wedding is planned at the First Baptist Church in Athens with Pastor Randy French of Mary’s Chapel Church of the Nazarene in Lexington officiating.
