The 26-year-old Limestone County woman is one of six finalists in the contest. She recently lost 45 pounds and nearly five dress sizes and is hoping to win the competition, which will send her to Los Angeles for a head-to-toe makeover and more.

If she is one of the remaining three finalists with the most votes, she will receive the makeover, a trip for two to Los Angeles including roundtrip airfare and accommodations for four days and three nights, a $1,000 gift card and two tickets to a taping of E! “Fashion Police.”

Powell was selected out of close to 4,000 entries. She entered the contest by telling America why she deserves a makeover by sharing her “Oh!” moment — that moment when you feel confident, empowered and happy.
