Vivian Rachel Butler and Jarrett Keith Fournier

Freddie Butler of Hamilton and Diann Shelton of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter Vivian Rachel Butler of Athens to Jarrett Keith Fournier of Athens, son of Phyllis Fournier of Athens and the late Joe Fournier.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Colista Jean Shelton of Anderson, Fred and Linda Butler of Franklin, Tenn., June Smothers of Florence and the late Alfred Shelton.

She is a 2000 graduate of Lexington High School and a 2006 graduate of Athens State University where she received a bachelor’s degree in human resource management. She received a master’s degree from Columbia College in 2009.

She is employed by Venturi Inc. as budget analyst.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Glen and Lee Mitchell and William and Clarisse Fournier.

He is a 1996 graduate of Douglas High School and a 2012 graduate of Calhoun Community College where he received a certificate in surgical technology.

He is employed by Crestwood Hospital as a surgical technician.

The wedding is planned for Nov. 3 at First United Methodist Church in Athens.
