Madelyn Menefee, daughter of Stan and Shaviny Menefee of Athens, celebrated her fifth birthday Aug. 4 at a SpongeBob SquarePants party. Her birthday is Aug. 1. She is the granddaughter of Garry and Pam Barksdale and Stanley and Wanda Menefee, all of Athens. Her great-grandparents are Dr. and Mrs. E.G. Norwood and Mr. and Mrs. F.L. Barksdale. Madelyn has one sister, Molly, 10 months.
