Wedding: Ikard-Stanford

Stephanie Leigh Ikard and William Franklin Stanford were married in a 6 p.m. ceremony July 14. at Twickenham Church of Christ in Huntsville with Dr. Joseph P. Olson officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Barbara F. Ikard of Meridianville and the late Mr. Jerry Wayne Ikard.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jimmy Franklin Stanford of Athens.
The bride was given in marriage by her mother. She wore a crystal taffeta gown with a modified sweetheart neckline. The back was accented with buttons and a chapel length train. Her headpiece and veil were adorned with crystals and rondelles.
The matron of honor was Stacy Ikard Hafley, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Amy Suzanne Burnside; Della Stanford Johnson, sister of the groom; Mandi Hastings Jones; Pamela Caneer Mathis; and Karri Hunter Sumrall. The flower girl was Ashlyn Elizabeth Hafley, niece of the bride..
Jesse Guy Stanford, brother of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Jeffrey S. Brown, Howard Scott Davis, Bryan Edwin Johnson, Timothy Quinn Sasser, and Brent Allen Simmons. Ushers were Charles David Williams, Daniel Craddock Williams, Gordon Deane Stanford, and Glen Daron Stanford, all cousins of the groom. The ringbearer was Jackson Kade Hafley, nephew of the bride.
Music was provided by Steven Todd Miller, harpist, and Werner Smock, trumpeter.
The guest register was kept by Valerie Plante Mullaley.
A reception followed the ceremony at The Ledges in Huntsville.
A rehearsal party was given by the groom’s parents at Carrabba’s Italian Grill.
After a wedding trip to Antigua, the couple will return home to Meridianville.
