Amanda Nicole Duren of Athens and Robert Scott Connally of Trussville were married in a 6 p.m. ceremony May 19 at Madelyn’s in the Grove with Lynn Rager officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Douglas and Anna Duren of Athens. She is the granddaughter of Elizabeth Leopard and Virgil Duren, both of Tanner, and the late James Leopard and JoAnn Duren Helstrom.

The groom is the son of Joe and Judy Connally of Trussville. He is the grandson of Billie Byrd of Trussville, and the late Ben Byrd, W.H. Connally and Mary Louise Connally.

The maid of honor was Elizabeth Duren, sister of the bride. Bridal attendants were Kacey Swindell, Natalie Sonnier, Melissa Gessner and Abby Connally.

Joe Connally, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Chris Byrd, Andrew Connally, Matt Young and Brent Traylor.

Music was provided by Zoot Suit Riot.

A reception followed the ceremony at Madelyn’s in the Grove.

After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple returned home to Tuscaloosa.
