Micah Joy and Lisa Petty

Wayne and Susan Petty of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter, Lisa Petty of Bowling Green, Ky., to Micah Joy of Bowling Green, son of Patty and Jay Guyer of Bowling Green and the late David Joy.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Marie Petty of Athens and Doris Beck of Columbia, Tenn., and the late Raford Petty and Gordon Beck.

She is a 2005 graduate of Athens Bible School and a 2009 graduate of Western Kentucky University where she received a bachelor’s degree in sociology.

She is employed by LifeSkills Inc. as a support broker.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Paul and Ginnie Casebolt of Pomeroy, Ohio, and Ruth Ann Joy of Paden City, W. Va., and the late Otis Joy.

He is a 2001 graduate of Oxford High School in Oxford, Miss., and is currently attending Western Kentucky University where he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in sports management.

He is employed by Blue Cotton.

The wedding is planned for May 26 at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green.
