The funeral for Grady Atkinson, 95, of Elkmont will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Limestone Chapel Funeral Home. Burial will be in New Garden Cemetery with Steve Ferguson officiating.

Visitation is from 11:30 a.m. until 1:45 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Mr. Atkinson passed away Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012, at home.

Grady Atkinson was born Sept. 23, 1916, in Limestone County to Henry Thomas Atkinson and Octavia Hall Atkinson. He was a member of Elkmont Church of Christ.

Survivors include his wife, Lucille Atkinson of Elkmont; two sons, Ray Atkinson and Stanley Atkinson, both of Elkmont; two grandchildren, Stacey Atkinson and Chris Atkinson, both of Elkmont.

Pallbearers will be John Witt, Leonard Watson, Joel Hogan, Harold Atkinson, Ronnie Sandlin and Gary Sandlin. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Sandlin, Neil Sandlin, Jerry Wales, Mike Brock, Marty Thornton, Johnny Robinson, Chris Atkinson and Steve Bates.
