Leslie Diana Franks and Peter Haines Thompson were married in a 2 p.m. ceremony Sept. 24 at Monte Sano United Methodist Church in Huntsville with the Rev. Dale Clem officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Greg Franks of Huntsville and Rebecca Watts of Huntsville. Her grandparents are Dot Franks of Athens, Richard and Nancy Klan of Huntsville and the late Jerry Franks.

The groom is the son of Lloyd and Barb Thompson of Florence, S.C. His grandparents are Brock and Frances Stewart of Del Ray Beach, Fla., and the late Ernest Hertzberg, Alfred and Irma Thompson and Frances Jeanne Stewart.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents.

The maid of honor was Adrienne Nivens Towry, friend of the bride. 

Cameron Thompson, brother of the groom, served as best man.

The flower girl was Annabelle Johnson, cousin of the groom.

After a honeymoon to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the couple returned to Columbia, S.C.
