Mary Kathryn Pugh and Matthew Cody Nave, both of Athens, were married in an 11:30 a.m. ceremony Oct. 8 at Mooresville Brick Church with Eric Pugh officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Eric and Susan Pugh of Athens. She is the granddaughter of Alice McDow of Athens and Billie Pugh of Evergreen and the late Wallace McDow and Oliver Pugh.

The groom is the son of Andy and Tammy Nave of Athens. He is the grandson of Sue Hargrove and Linda Nave, both of Athens, and the late Milton Hargrove and Billy Nave.

The matrons of honor were Erin Downs, Lauren Ortiz and Tiffany Pugh. Bridal attendant was Molly Nave.

Timothy Nave served as best man. Groomsmen were Riley Nave, Christopher Pugh and Jordan Pugh.

Music was provided by Jennifer Jimmerson, pianist.

The guest register was kept by Kara Faulk.

A reception followed the ceremony on the Mooresville Brick Church grounds. Servers were Alissa Sizemore and Hannah Wheeler.

Jill Heck served as coordinator.

After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple returned home to Athens.
