Wedding: Clem-Folmar

Mary Catherine Clem of Athens and Tyler Clayton Folmar of Indian Springs were married in a 6 p.m. ceremony Sept. 24 at First Baptist Church with Dr. Edwin F. Jenkins officiating.
The bride is the daughter of Mary Nelle Clem and Marvin Adair Clem Jr., both of Athens. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Bobby Wood of Athens and the late Bobby Wood and Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Adair Clem. She is the great-niece of Harvey R. Gilbert.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Kirby Folmar of Indian Springs. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert Lawson Jr. and Mr. and Mrs. Kirby Taylor Folmar.
The bride was given in marriage by her mother.
Matron of honor was Ashley Boyer Chambliss. Bridal attendants were Allison Erin Anderson, Kathryn Grayson Beard, Autumn Folmar Cherry, sister of the groom, Lucy Gillespie Freeman, Rachel Esther Anscher, Anna Little Chancellor, Darcy Goodson Dean and Caroline Ratcliff Mandel.
The flower girl was Isabelle Taylor Cherry, niece of the groom.
Terry Kirby Folmar, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Brent Taylor Bruser, Elliott Whitfield Folmar, brother of the groom, John William Fuqua Jr., Grayson Davis Moore, David Michael Cherry, brother-in-law of the groom, Zachary Miles Folmar, brother of the groom, Bryant Taylor Kimbrell and Paul Michael Velotas.
The reader was William Michael O’Rear, cousin of the groom.
Music was provided by Dan Havely on trumpet, organist Jane Barnett and harpist Katherine Newman.
A reception followed the ceremony at the home of the bride’s grandmother.
Music was provided at the reception by The Flashbacks and Rudy Mockabee.
After a wedding trip to Italy, the couple returned home to Birmingham.
