• Bible studies. Athens First United Methodist Church is kicking off fall with study sessions for adults and activities for children. • Free community meal. Pleasant Grove Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America will host Day of Love: Feed the Hungry from 11 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 17, at the corner of Browns Ferry and Plato Jones streets in Athens. This free meal is offered to everyone.

• Mothers and Deacons March. Little Ezekiel Missionary Baptist Church will hold a Mothers and Deacons March at 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 18. Pastor Anthony Stewart and Greater Hope M.B. Church will be guest church. Contact: Imogene Malone at 256-232-6247.

• Homecoming. Faith Tabernacle Church at 22333 Sandlin Road in Elkmont will hold its annual homecoming during its Sunday service, Sept. 18.

Featured singers will be 3 In 1, Reflections, and others. Lunch will be served.

• Missionary Day. Newby’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church at 23488 Nick Davis Road will hold its annual Missionary Day at 2 p.m. Sept. 18, featuring guest church, New Hopewell M.B. Church and the Rev. Larry Lockett Sr.

• Revival. Greenbrier Baptist Church will host a revival featuring Walter Terrell of Pilot Mountain, N.C., from Sept. 18–20, at 7939 Greenbrier Road. Services will be at 11 a.m. and 5 p.m. Sunday and at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday. Call 256- 497-7349.

• Sisters @SONrise. New Life Church at 2314 S. Hine St. in Athens will host its annual Sisters @ SONrise worship service at 6 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 24, featuring the New Life Dance Ministry and the Sisters @ SONrise Choir. • Friends and Family Day. Greater Hope Missionary Baptist Church on Lucas Ferry Road will hold Friends and Family Day at 11 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 25, featuring associate minister Kendrick Epps.
