Wedding: Lovell-Tollison

Shayna Lovell of Athens and Ryan Tollison of Pell City were married in a 5 p.m. ceremony Aug. 6 at Friendship United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jody Hooven officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Keith and Gena Lovell of Athens. She is the granddaughter of Elston and Lena Thornton and Don and Judy Lovell, all of Athens.

The groom is the son of Elton and Diane Tollison of Pell City. He is the grandson of Janette Wales of Pell City and the late the Rev. J.D. Wales and Harvey and Margarete Tollison.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. Maid of honor was Kelsey Thompson, sister of the groom. Bridal attendants were Autumn Runruang, Beth Knowles Pontal, Mary Catherine Price and Camille Pitman.

The flower girl was Sophie Bodiford.

Elton Tollison, father of the groom, served as best man. Groomsmen were Adam Tucker, Wesley Fine, Michael Thompson, Christon Burns and Jeremy Wales. 

The ringbearer was Wales Smith.

Music was provided by the groom who surprised everyone by singing, “I Will Be Here” after the unity candle lighting.

A reception followed the ceremony at Valley Event Center in Athens.

Special attendants were Chapman Bodiford and Cody Roberts.

After a wedding trip to the Bahamas, the couple returned home to Trussville.
