Wedding: Blakney-Moore

Brittany Lynne Blakney of Tuscaloosa and Dyer Shirley Moore of Northport were married in a 5 p.m. ceremony May 14 at Northport First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Mark Parris officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bernard Blakney of Tuscaloosa. He is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Marlin Burkhalter of Gordo and Evelyn Hovis Marbut of Athens and the late Oscar Bernard Blakney, James Brandon Marbut and Edith Ezell Marbut.

The groom is the son of Mrs. Rufus Lee Moore of Tuscaloosa and the late Mr. Moore. He is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Emil Shirley Jr. and Dr. and Mrs. Rufus Oliver Moore Jr.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Maid of honor was Brianna Kaye Blakney of Birmingham. Bridal attendant was Mary Ruffin Moore of Tuscaloosa.

The flower girls were Madison Ella and Marlee Nicole Griffin of Tuscaloosa.

Rufus Lee Moore Jr. of Tuscaloosa served as best man. Groomsman was Brandon Davis Blakney of Cimarron, N.M.

Acolytes were David Webster Glanton of Athens and Jackson Elijah Mosley of Birmingham. The ushers were Danny Mack Barringer and Jeremy Shaun Lee of Northport, Freeman Davis Blakney, Jeremy Landon Blakney and Joseph Leon Mosley Jr., all of Birmingham, and William Philip Henderson and Tyler Sibley Watkins of Tuscaloosa.

The ringbearer was David Dyer Moore of Tuscaloosa.

Music was provided by Dawn Sandel, soloist, and Merry Livingston, organist.

The guest register was kept by Lillian Claire Glanton of Athens and Katherine Wyatt Mosley of Birmingham.

A reception followed the ceremony at The University Club.

After a trip to Antigua, the couple returned home to Northport.
