Amanda Carol Whitt and Samuel Bullock Havely, both of Athens, were married July 9, at the Huntsville Museum of Art. 

The bride is the daughter of Joseph and Brenda Whitt of Athens.  She graduated from the Savannah College of Art and Design and works as a culinary professional in the family barbecue business in Athens.

The groom is the son of Daniel Havely of Athens and Beth Mobley of Atlanta. He graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology and works as a supply planner for Caraustar Industries in Courtland.

The Rev. Dr. Kevin Higgs, a minister of the United Methodist Church in Birmingham, officiated.

A reception followed, also at the Huntsville Museum of Art, with music provided by the Greg Chambers Quintet.

After a wedding trip to New York City, the couple returned home to Athens.
