Wedding: Tate-Holifield

Christina Jean Holifield of Gallion and David Brock Tate of Killen were married in a 6:30 p.m. ceremony May 14, at North River Yacht Club in Tuscaloosa.

The bride is the daughter of Cyndi Holifield of Gallion and the late Tommy Charles Holifield. She is the granddaughter of Tommy and Gloria Ray of Gallion and Sara Holifield of Demopolis and the late Dr. Reese Holifield.

The groom is the son of David Tate of Killen and Kay Tate of Athens. He is the grandson of Arlie and Jewel Tate of Killen and Mary Lewis of Athens and the late James Lewis.

The bride was given in marriage her grandfather Tommy Ray.

Maid of honor was Reesa Holifield, bride’s sister. Bridesmaids were Haley Tate, Kensey Robertson, Lori Massey, Mandy Thurber, Trena McAlpine, Robbie Cook, Mallie Quarrels, Sara Prysi and Brooke Prysi.

David Tate, the groom’s father, served as best man. Grooms were Josh Holifield, Ryan Claborne, Jarrod Flanagan, Jason Leonard, Brandon Hale, Michael Massey and Craig Thigpen.

The wedding planner was Meagan Cease of M. Elizabeth Events in Birmingham.

After a wedding trip to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands, the couple returned home to Florence.
