Margaret Stonecypher

Margaret Stonecypher celebrates her 95th birthday today at St. Paul Catholic Church in Athens with a reception planned by her four children and their spouses, Mary and Alton Oneal of Texas, Helen and Charles Woods of Georgia, Robert and Betty Stonecypher and Dot and Jim Dye, all of Alabama. Many friends, family members, fellow church members and all 11 grandchildren were in attendance. She has 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson. Margaret and her late husband George moved from Birmingham to Athens in 2001. She attributes her longevity to square dancing and many friends of all ages. Also, she said a good sense of humor is mandatory.
