Avery Kathleen Ruf, daughter of David and Allison Ruf of Athens, celebrated her sixth birthday July 23 at a SpongeBob pool party. Her birthday is July 25. She is the granddaughter of Phil and Susan Gilbert of Elkmont and Patsy Ruf of Athens and the late David Ruf Jr. Her great-grandparents are Marvin and Kathleen Wales of Elkmont and Buel and Catherine Clem of Athens. Avery has one sister, Ashlyn, 11.
