The Geren Rides Inc. carnival moved into town earlier this week and will open at 6 p.m. tonight, depending on the weather. The fair grounds are located on U.S. 72 in the Town Center strip mall parking lot in front of Save-A-Lot grocery store. The fourth generation carnival crew is from Valdosta, Ga., and is in Athens for the second time after coming last July. Tickets are being sold 20 for $18, 40 for $36 and single tickets go for $1 each.
