Golfers will “Tee it Up for Tornado Relief’ event

If you’re a golfer who wants to contribute to victims of the April 27 tornado outbreak, your moment has arrived.
You and your place of business can sign up to either help sponsor or play in “Tee it Up for Tornado Relief” to be held June 28 at Canebrake Club in Athens. You get in a round of golf. Tornado victims benefit. What’s not to like.
For a one-person donation of $150 or $600 for a four-person team you get:
• Entry to the 9:45 a.m. Area Golf Professionals clinic;
• Participation in the 11 a.m.,18-hole tournament with a scramble format;
• Ditty bag;
• Lunch provided by Applebee’s of Athens;
• Complimentary beverages on the golf course;
• One admission ticket, good for two, to the Alabama Wildlife Federation Wild Game Cook-Off event that evening for the awards presentations;
• One-year membership in Alabama Wildlife Federation.
A $1,500 corporate sponsor donation to tornado relief includes, among other benefits:
• One team of four competitors in the golf tournament;
• Four admission tickets (one ticket covers admission for two people) to the cook-off event that evening, along with four one-year memberships in Alabama Wildlife Federation;
• Banner with your company name at the golf course;
• Company name included in all marketing collateral;
• Special recognition during the Area Golf Professionals Clinic, during the golf tournament, at the awards reception, and through the evening event.
Tee and green sponsorships are also available.
Proceeds will be given to the April 27, 2011 Limestone County Fund of the United Way of Limestone County.
