Heather Suzanne Fields and James Lucas Johnson

Richard and Sharon Grant of Athens and Gary and Karla Fields of Gurley announce the engagement of their daughter, Heather Suzanne Fields of Athens to James Lucas Johnson, son of Oran and Melba Johnson of Athens.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Harold and Emma Washington of Geraldine, Harry Neil and Tommy Fields of Gurley, Tom and Ruth Finch of Nashville, Tenn. , and Moody and Billie Faye Davis of Big Cove.

She is a 2004 graduate of East Limestone High School and a 2011 graduate of Athens State University where she received a Bachelor of Science degree in business management. She is the owner of Quality Cleaning.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Ellen Johnson and Bobbie Pressnell, both of Athens and the late James G. Johnson and James T. Pressnell.

He is a 1998 graduate of East Limestone High School.

He is the owner of Johnson Construction.

The wedding is planned for Aug. 13 at the home of Gary and Karla Fields in Gurley.
