John Cody Haney and Tiffinee Shea Eaton

Mr. and Mrs. Tim Eaton of Athens announce the engagement of their daughter, Tiffinee Shea Eaton, to John Cody Haney, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Haney of Athens.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ellis Wayne Ramsey and Mrs. Dorothy Eaton, all of Athens, and the late Mr. Kenneth Eaton.

She is a 2008 graduate of Athens High School and is currently attending Athens State University  where she is pursuing a bachelor’s degree in elementary education.

She is employed by Hometown Grocery as a cashier.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Thompson and Mr. and Mrs. Shirley Haney, all of Athens.

He is a 2007 graduate of Tanner High School and attended Calhoun Community College where he received his certificate in machine tool technology.

He is employed by Haney Farms as a farmer.

The wedding is planned for May 7 at Tanner United Methodist Church.
