Shaina Rae Stoddard of Hartselle and Collin Murphy Hays of Athens were married in an evening ceremony June 5, 2010 at Cedar Trace Estates in Hartselle with Carole Vanduser of Land O’ Lakes, Fla., officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Gary Stoddard of Keystone, S.D. and Leisa and Jim Swindle of Hartselle. She is the granddaughter of Donald and Dorothy Stoddard of Vestal, N.Y., Jerry and Kay Erickson of Decherd, Tenn., and Donna and Denis Fernald of Chattanooga, Tenn., and the late Carol Kobin.

The groom is the son of John and Vickie Hays of Athens. He is the grandson of Fred and Ruby Jane Hays of Tanner and Bobbie Webster of Athens and the late Leon Webster.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. Honor attendants were the bride’s friend Jamie Steadman of Waterloo and the bride’s sister Nicole Nelson of Rapid City, S.D. Bridesmaids were friends Heather Breedlove of Decatur, Brandi Griffin and Renae Hooper, both of Athens.

The flower girls were the bride’s cousin Gracie Austin of Atlanta and friend Lexie Griffin of Athens. Lindsay Swindle of Jacksonville, Fla., brother of the bride, served as ring bearer.

Groomsmen were Fred Hays of Tanner, the groom’s grandfather, and brothers Skyler Hays and Landon Hays, both of Athens and Jimmy Roberts of Rogersville.

After a wedding trip to Destin, Fla., the couple returned home to the Poplar Creek Community in Athens.
