Rebecca Ann Tate of Athens and Jeffrey Levi Hargrove of Elkmont were married in a 3 p.m. ceremony Oct. 9 at First Church of Athens with Pastor Mark Delmas officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Buddy and Lesia Tate of Athens. She is the granddaughter of Elwood Tate of Goodsprings, Lloyd and Louise Pogue of Elkmont and the late Grady and Lillian Pope.

The groom is the son of Tonia Hardiman and Larry Hargrove of Elkmont. He is the grandson of Charles and Donna Hardiman of Elkmont and Ima Jean Reyer Hardiman.

The bride was given in marriage by her father Buddy Tate.

Tabitha Baugher served as the maid of honor and Meggan Jackson served as matron of honor. Bridal attendants were Chelsey McBay, Tia Montgomery and Jessica Smolka.

The flower girl was Lillee Baugher.

Nathan Pinkerton served as best man. Groomsmen were Barry Tate, Chris Sharp, Gene Delmas and David Gainey.

The ringbearer was Colby Bradfield.

A reception followed the ceremony at Athens State College Ball Room. Classic Catering served the guests. 

After a wedding trip to Orlando, Fla., the couple returned home to Elkmont.
